iPhone 3GS Release

The recent release of the iPhone 3GS (June 19, 2009)  represents AT&T’s “Best-Ever Sales Day”. According to AT&T, it took a mere three (3) days for Apple and AT&T to sell the first million iPhone 3GS, as compared to 74 days for the first million iPhones in 2007. Furthermore, “hundreds of thousands …” were ordered through the pre-order process immediately preceding “iLaunch day 2009″. Useful iPod software - not apps

In cruising the internet, I found a site with some potentially useful software for use with iPods. It includes software to download from your iPod to your computer, “rip” DVD’s to place onto your iPod, a conversion for YouTube videos, etc. I have not tried and, therefore, do not endorse, any of the software available but simply post it for your evaluation. Check out iPod Software.

If you do download and use any of it, drop us a post to let other users know of your success (or failure) in using it.

Repairing / Removing scratches on iPod

I found a web-site offering a way to repair / remove scratches on iPod screens. According the article, he tried it himself, on his own iPod, and so it has undergone “Trial By Fire”. He has not posted a follow-up in which he describes his iPod as dissolving in a mass of electronic slag and so it would appear to have worked.

For more information, refer to Fix scratches. Note: the blog has evolved into a site pertaining to US National Defense.
