TimeLapse

I have always been interested in time lapse photography. We have all seen them, clouds rolling across the landscape, flowers opening, sunspots moving across the solar disk, and many more besides. There is a new application available called TimeLapse that allows you to take time lapse sequences using the 3 megapixel camera in the newly released iPhone 3GS. Continue Reading…

Magic Pad

I really like this app. Once I downloaded it, I had no use for the “notes” app that came with it. I wish I could delete it. I especially enjoy the color and size settings. I would like to see an update that allows you to change the colours of the pads too. That would be reallly sweet.

IBowl

Ibowl, though fun, can be kind of dangerous. I haven’t damaged my Touch while playing this game, however, I keep feeling like I may end up accidentally letting go of my iPod and throwing it across the room. I am not at all complaining about this game! It’s fantastic! I just reallly don’t like the feeling I may end up throwing my iPod trying to get a strike.

Tic Tac Free

Tic Tac Free is … well… Tic Tac Toe, but BETTER! I love the different settings, such as Two Players, different difficulties and choosing the moves you want to make. All these things make it so much more fun and addicting. I also love the graphics that make it look like a chalkboard. This creates a great, visually appealing game that is fun for any age!

Whiteboard

This is a very amusing app, for about 15 minutes, then it gets frustrating. You can’t save your drawings, make them into a wallpaper or anything! I think if they updated it so you could save your work and added a larger variety of colours, it would be a worthwhile application to have

Scribble

I think this is one of the best free drawing applications that I have checked out so far. I love the “SAVE” feature (see review on “Whiteboard”), the ability to draw on other pictures and a pretty good selection of colours. I think it would be fantastic if you could mix colours or somehow pick the exact colour you want. The only thing I would change is the ability to hide the tool bar at the bottom while drawing.

Bounce Lite

This application for the iPod Touch / iPhone is one of the best free games out there. It is a very simple game that becomes very addictive. In this game you are basically just bouncing a ball through an obstacle course of different things (such as boxes and bad bugs) so as to get to the end as fast as possible. The instructions are very basic. They tell you exactly what to do as briefly as possible.

The only thing I would change about this game is have the ability to “Pause” during a level. Other than that, this game is AMAZING!!!!

Backgrounds App

“Backgrounds” is a great application to relax and pick some cool and awesome backgrounds for your iTouch or iPhone. Every day they put up different backgrounds so you won’t get bored of the old ones. You can search for your favourite things. There are different categories at the top, like Popular, Retro, Hearts, Stars, Cute, Guys, Boats and Planes, Space, etc. I love it because it has so many kinds of cool and awesome backgrounds.
