iPhone 3GS Warning

Easy AdSense by Unreal

There have been rumours and reports pertaining to overheating issues related to the recently released iPhone 3GS.

According to these rumours / reports, the iPhone 3GS may be subject to overheating if left in a hot vehicle, used in direct sunlight “for extended periods of time” or if using certain applications such as the GPS or listening to music. The iPhone 3GS will, apparently, give a warning if it becomes too hot.

The issue may be related to the battery, particularly before it has been recharged several times.

Obviously, if you are going to leave your iPhone (or other electronics in your vehicle), place them in a location out of direct sunlight (to prevent theft, it would be better if they were placed out of sight under a seat). Try placing your iPhone under some sort of cover if you are using it under direct sunlight, much easier if you are listening to music than if using the phone function.

Bottom line: these are rumours to early reports of a “potential” issue. An initial solution might be to keep your iPhone out of hot conditions or direct sunlight until you have recharged the battery “several” times. Perhaps “conditioning the battery” is the solution. Use caution until more information becomes available.
