Whiteboard

This is a very amusing app, for about 15 minutes, then it gets frustrating. You can’t save your drawings, make them into a wallpaper or anything! I think if they updated it so you could save your work and added a larger variety of colours, it would be a worthwhile application to have

Scribble

I think this is one of the best free drawing applications that I have checked out so far. I love the “SAVE” feature (see review on “Whiteboard”), the ability to draw on other pictures and a pretty good selection of colours. I think it would be fantastic if you could mix colours or somehow pick the exact colour you want. The only thing I would change is the ability to hide the tool bar at the bottom while drawing.

Bounce Lite

This application for the iPod Touch / iPhone is one of the best free games out there. It is a very simple game that becomes very addictive. In this game you are basically just bouncing a ball through an obstacle course of different things (such as boxes and bad bugs) so as to get to the end as fast as possible. The instructions are very basic. They tell you exactly what to do as briefly as possible.

The only thing I would change about this game is have the ability to “Pause” during a level. Other than that, this game is AMAZING!!!!

Backgrounds App

“Backgrounds” is a great application to relax and pick some cool and awesome backgrounds for your iTouch or iPhone. Every day they put up different backgrounds so you won’t get bored of the old ones. You can search for your favourite things. There are different categories at the top, like Popular, Retro, Hearts, Stars, Cute, Guys, Boats and Planes, Space, etc. I love it because it has so many kinds of cool and awesome backgrounds.

Cube Runner

Cube Runner is absolutely THE most addicting game on my iPod. To play, all you do is tilt your iPod and avoid the colored cubes. I love this game because it keeps your high score so you can keep playing to beat it. I also really love how you can test yourself by changing the difficulty. This game is fairly simple once you get used to it, but then it eventually gets harder and harder. I LOVE IT!!

DanceDanceRevolution S Lite

This game has good graphics and all but it’s kind of pointless, even for a free game. You play the game once and it’s great, but then it just gets repetitive. You can’t pick the difficulty or even any more songs. I think this would be an amazing application if it had more songs and if you were able to pick the difficulty. However, personally, I would rather play Tap Tap Revenge over this. Realistically, I think DDR is meant for playing on the mats with the XBox, rather than on an iPod (at least, that is where I will be playing it in the future).

Trace

The application Trace is probably one of the most addicting games I have on my Ipod Touch. It’s a very basic game; use the two side arrow’s to move, the “UP” arrow to jump and the Erase/Draw icon to draw a path towards the yellow star while avoiding the colored shapes. This game has plenty of levels that get fairly complex at points. This game can keep you occupied for hours at a time while other free games might not keep you entertained as long.
